Hey! There faithful readers. Natalie here. I'm coming to you from New York City. It's currently a little after 3 in the morning and I just finished my interview that is a part of my favorite underground radio talk show in the city called Last Call. Last call was underground before being underground was even cool.
The host goes by the name of Dorian Gray due to the fact that his voice has not changed since the 60's. It always sounds like the same teenage boy. Nobody really knows who's behind the mask. This was my first time on the show and I was hella nervous. Nate's been on the show probaby 20-30 times promoting The Adultry Teens, The TBA's The Drop Dead Dearies, The Spray-Paint Bandits. and he is scheduled to appear on the show over spring break to promote his latest project, Tables Have Turned's upcoming release in June.
For those of you that haven't already seen me or met me in person, I'm a terrible public speaker. In all honesty, crowds scare me to death. But I am rather proud of myself and have decided to post the dialogue from tonight's interview. Oh! And halfway through, Nate's newest girlfriend came in to finish off the interview due to a prior obligation that I had.
DG: Welcome back to Last call. This is your host Dorian Gray. We are currently here today with the sister of long time guest and friend, Nate Neurotoxin. Her name is Natalie and she is promoting her recent release with her band, The Sniper Rifles, and her most recent re-release of the album, Needle+Vein by her former band, Red Ringed Revolvers. Natalie, how are you doing?
NN: I'm doing great Dorian. And actually.... I think that this re-release is going to have a bigger reaction than the release of the new material.
DG: Why would you say that?
NN: Well, I think that the Red Ringed Revolvers have gained more of a following, and more of a fanbase throughout the years. Whereas the Sniper Rifles, though definitely related to the Triple R, is something totally different and hasn't had much time to grow.
DG: How large is your fanbase for the Red Ringed Revolvers?
NN: I'd say from coast to coast. I mean, we don't have 1 fan per square mile, But we probably have 1 fan per every 100 square miles.
DG: That isn't bad at all.
NN: I agree. I love the work we did with Red Ringed Revolvers and hope to see a continuation of that work.
DG: Through the Sniper Rifles?
NN: No.... The Red Ringed Revolvers have so much potential that I decided that they were on going to be put on hiatus and not broken up for good.
DG: So they are only on a hiatus.
NN: Correct. I think of our situation as being the same as +44. Mark Hoppus needed to focus all his time and energy into making the Blink-182 album, the best that it could be. He left +44 open for more albums and didn't let it die with the re-birth of Blink.

NATE'S TOP 10
Okay, so I don't watch all that much tv anymore due to the boycott I have on it, but when I did watch TV, I always used to love to watch the Late Show with David Letterman. He has the coolest job. He gets to talk to all these awesome people and listen to the best bands in the world perform live on his show. One thing I've kind of been thinking about is starting a top ten of bands, music, songs, and lyrics. There are so many topics that I can relate to in a music sense. I'm actually going to start out with 3 top tens, but they are all going to have different subjects.
TOP TEN SONGS (that I listen to a lot) ABOUT L )VE
10. Roller Coaster- Blink-182
I think the reason why this is even on the list, is because I can relate to the song's meaning. It's about how Mark Hoppus went out with a girl, and it had to be a total secret. I know what that's like. I experienced it with Callie.
9. Girl is On My Mind- The Black Keys
The first time I heard this song was on Kay Diamond commercials that started to air last Christmas. Just kidding. This is one of my favorite songs off of the Black Key's album, Rubber Factory. It's always been one that I listen to when.... well, I have a girl on my mind (which is quite often)
8. She's A Rebel- Green Day
If ever there were a need for a good ol' punk rock love song, this song would definitely fit the bill. This is one of the most played songs on my iTunes. It ranks up there with the others on this list. My favorite line from this song is definitely the "And she's holding on my heart like a hand grenade". That is purely lyrical genius.
7. Time to Break Up- Blink-182
I said this top ten was about love. And as most of us have found out, love much like girls, can be a beautiful thing one day, and a total bitch, the next. This song is about a guy trying to accept the fact that he just broke up with this girlfriend. Been there, done that. My favorite line of this song is : "I used to hate the lipstick. It stained and tasted so sick. The panty hose and the bras she threw on my guitars." Been there too...
6. Fell in Love with a Girl - The White Stripes
IT'S WHITE STRIPES! NUFF SAID!
5. First Date- Blink-182
This song is the epitome of how a guy feels during his first date with a girl. We dress to impress, and are most of the time destined to fail. MY GOD! I can totally relate to nearly shitting my pants on my first date, and thinking, "Shit, I hope she doesn't think I'm a dork." which, is the case most time, and as it turns out, it isn't a bad thing. My favorite line from this song is : Actually, I like all the lyrics.
4. Do You Remember- Jack Johnson
I've always loved this song. It's about looking back through a long relationship. It's something that Aleera and I do quite often. However, we never did burn down a tree. My favorite line in this song is the one about "playing house".
3.Please Take Me Home- Blink-182
This song is definitely applicable to my situation. Here's a quote from Tom
I remember always feeling like the world might be a little different if everybody wasn't such a pussy and said what they wanted to people they liked. The problem is, people are too scared of rejection. How many times have you seen somebody somewhere, but didn't say a thing. Next time, fuck it, if you like someone, say something. The worst that could happen is they'll smile and say "thanks" or "no thanks". This statement describes part of my situation. The other part is described in my favorite line and the opening line of the song, when Tom says "Oh, no it happened again, She's cool, she's hot, she's my friend." I can honestly say that one of my closest friends is the one that I like. Yep, that's me coming clean. And I think that I've finally found the balls to ask her ex, who is one of my best friends, if it's okay for me to ask her out (common courtesy and what not).
2. The Rock Show - Blink-182
I think this song is self explanatory. I actually fell in love with a girl who I met at a Blink-182 concert in 2001, saw her again in 2003, and didn't actually formally meet her until 2011. I started dating her and it's been like something out of a love song until we ended up having to split because she moved. I love everything about the chorus too. When they play it live, it goes something like this
Tom: FELL IN LOVE
Mark: With the girl at the rock show
Tom: SHE SAID, "WHAT?"
Mark: and I told her that I didn't know
Tom: SHE'S SOOOOO COOOOOOOOOOLL!!!!!
Mark: Better sneak into my window.
Everything's better when she's around
Can't wait til her parents go out of town.
I fell in love with the girl at the rock show.
1. GOING AWAY TO COLLEGE- Blink-182
This is my favorite Blink-182 song ever. It is the most played song on my iTunes and for good reason. The lyrics in this song are totally relevent to what I'm going to have to be saying to a girl next summer. I plan to have a girlfriend by the beginning of next semester. However, I plan on graduating early so I'll be going off to college a whole year early. Favorite line : "Bouquet of clumsy words, a simple melody. This world's an ugly place, but you're so beautiful to me."
Well, I'll be posting two more today. Thank's for reading!

Long time no see....
Hey there faithful readers, It's Naterz.
Sorry I've been gone so long. But I hope that you'll forgive me if I tell you that I've got some new material that is getting ready for the recording process.
UPDATES
The Adultry Teens
Okay The Adultry Teens have had a lot of changes in everything these past few weeks. At one point we were considering a name change to either Blasphemous Bluesmen or The Rum Runners. However we've decided to stick with our original name.
All week, well, for a week or two now, I've been working on some possible album art. I' will post it as soon as I can. But before I post it, I'm going to give you some background information (and this never happens, so you'd better pay attention).
I've always said that Lawrence is home, but in reality, it's just a place that I live. My TRUE home is in New York City. I love everything about it. I love the bright lights, the noise of urban America are like music to my ears. Lawrence is great, but in all honesty, it's just not big enough for me to be able to spread out as much as I'd like to. For all these reasons, I am thinking about calling the album, Homesick For New York City. I don't think there's going to be a song on the album about how much I miss NYC, but I just thought it would be cool to incorporate a little bit of my own background into this album.
The Adultry Teens also had to say goodbye to our drummer, and my amazing girlfriend, Molly. I'd just like to go on record by saying that she is always welcome to play with us at gigs, and is always going to be my "Josie".
The TBA'S
The TBA's new album, Patent Pending is currently being finalized. Like, serious. I'm keeping track of the progress on my phone. So far, we have 17 physical copies written to disc and the process is still going even as I am typing this. I think it's interesting that we have been a band for around 5 years or so, have had members come and go, yet the recording line-up ends up being the original line up. I'd just like to give the other TBA's kudos for being there for the band.
Yesterday night, I was sitting with the guys and we were finishing up the tracks and ^_^ said he was surprised that he, ^.^ , and -_-, had been able to keep their identities secret, despite the fact that positions are vacated and refilled every 2 or 3 months.
Nate's Solo project
I'm not exactly sure what I can say about this.... people seem to think that I'm working a solo project. I'd just like to say that I both am and am not. I only do this to confuse people (and myself) even more.
The Sniper Rifles
This more of Natalie's place to update. I'm not even sure what to say about this... The Sniper Rifles are currently on tour. I think that they're in California right now.
Red-Ringed Revolvers
The Red Ringed Revolvers are currently on tour w/ The Sniper Rifles
Well, that's all I got for now. I'll update later w/ the album art and the lyrics.

Ello there! Nate here. I've discovered something amazing.
I've discovered a kickass half hour workout routine to Matt and Kim + Blink-182 and this actually works. I've done this 5 nights in a row and am thouroughly satisfied with my results.
Good For Great- Pushups during verses and switch to clap push-ups during chorus
Daylight- Crunches
Feeling This- Sit-ups through whole song
Obvious- Plank during verse and pushups during chorus
I Miss You- Penguin crunches
Violence- Sit-ups during verses and push-ups during choruses.
Stockholm Syndrome- Wall sit
Down- Pushups
Fallen Interlude- Water and cool down time.
This seriously works. My abs were really shitty lookiing, but now they're getting a wee bit more defined.
For Push-ups, you could also try Anthem Part 2. Which would make it so that you could just omit the crunches altogether
This is a workout that I do without questioning, every single night, unless I have some prior engagement and I don't get home until extremely late.
I dare you to try it. Bet ya can't do it!

Misinformants: New material?
Natalie here. First of all, I'd like to say I'm going to miss Sorren a lot too. He was a great friend.
Now, as of yesterday, the Misinformants decided to re-unite to play a few benefit shows. The proceeds of these shows will go to The American Red Cross's Japan Relief efforts. However, what they failed to mention is that they might be headed into the studio to work on an entire album. If they do, they said that the money from the album will be put into a college fund for both Tom and Michael, Sorren's sons. This will be the first time that the band sets foot in the same studio as one another since Have You No Dignity? was released in 2008. I had written off a Misinformants reunion as being something that would never happen. Seeing as Sorren is "unavoidably detained" as the boys are saying it, Miss Molly will be filling in on drums, but will most likely not be in the studio with them.
The band will most likely be starting a myspace and John and Dan have agreed that they will create twitter accounts.
That's all I have for now. I'll update with more information later.

Misinformants lose a friend
This post is dedicated to the memory of Sorren Alvin Sakicho.
Earlier tonight, I received one of the most depressing phone calls that I've gotten in quite a while. For those of you who are fans of The Misinformants, it hurts me to inform you that Sorren Sakicho has passed away in the Japan Earthquake. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and newborn son. They will be recieving a check for $800 from each member of the band. I've managed to gather the rest of the band. This is the first time since our initial break-up that I have spoken to these guys. We're here to share our stories about Sorren and to help each other get through this hard time.
John- Lead guitar/ vocals
I remember when I first met Sorren. I was 10 and it was probably 1998. He was the weirdest person I ever met, but I guess that is why he fit in so well. We never stopped talking. He was my best friend.. He said we were like Beavis and Butthead. I, quite obviously would be Beavis because he was always the more logical yet equally naive brother I never had. It was his idea to start the band in the first place. He was probably the hardest working member of the band (other than the squirt). When we disbanded and went away to college, he and I never lost contatct. I went to Wichita State and he went to KU. We would party every weekend and I would always get so fucked up that I just ended up passing out on his couch. Nothing ever did beat the crazy times I had with that crazy little shit and nothing ever will. I was best man at his wedding and am the godfather of his first born son. I can honestly say that I will miss him
Daniel- Bass/ Vocals
Being locked in a freezer. That was when I first met Sorren. We had accidentally locked ourselves in the freezer at Cordley Elementary school. If I remember correctly, we were both running away from the school bully. And even though we were in an extremely icy place, a warm and long friendship started to grow. When we were at Central Junior High, he introduced me to Amanda Freeman, who just recently became my fiance`. I remember when Johnny, the squirt, and I took him to his bachelor party. We all got soooooooo wasted. Even the Squirt who wasn't really a squirt anymore. I was there when his second son was born. And I somehow managed to become their godMOTHER. Well, Sorren, You equalled no one that I've ever known. I'll miss you buddy.
Nate- Rhythm guitar
I'm at a loss for words. I always looked up to Sorren. He's the only member of the band that I really kept in touch with after we split. I would call him every weekend and we would plan something. I feel like I've lost a brother. I can't even imagine what Jenn, Michael and Tom are going through. In many ways, Jenn is like an older sister to me as well. Michael started calling me Uncle Nater tots. I really do regret the fact that Tom will never get to know what an amazing dad he had. I've lost a friend, a mentor, and the one person that I could tell anything and that wouldn't ever judge me. That was one of Sorren's best traits. Sorren, I'm, really going to miss you, man.
The Misinformants will be reforming with Molly Halifer on drums and will be hosting a series of benefit shows. All proceeds will go to the relief effort in Japan.

Okay, Nate here! I have had a ton of people asking me how I play Blink-182 covers. Because I don't play it the way Tom does. Well, to all those people that want to know, here's your letter and Going Away To College.
Song: Going Away To College
Artist: Blink-182
Album: Enema of the State
Note: I realize this intro is not how Tom plays it. The intro sounds exactly the same. I just used different chord variations.
